Planting seeds for the soul at Lexington Kids

Picture
Vision

A premier early childhood development center that nurtures children's minds and souls through enriching experiences, caring relationships and celebrating God's love for us all.

Mission

We offer responsive, individualized, and high-quality Christian childcare to children and families in our community. Through teacher-led and child-initiated activities and experiences, we seek to foster a strong love of learning and to help each child, family, and staff member celebrate every person as a child of God.

Philosophy

Lexington Kids Christian Childcare helps children learn and develop by building strong relationships with children and families. We believe that children learn best by doing. In order to thrive, children must have secure, supportive, and nurturing relationships. When children feel valued and respected they have self-esteem to explore the world around them through activities that are child-initiated and teacher-led in large and small groups. We align program activities and plans with MN early childhood and birth through three indicators of progress to ensure that we are able to meet the developmental benchmarks to prepare children for kindergarten. Through daily assessment, intentional experience planning, and staff interactions, we support children’s cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and language development. Our program is unique because we also believe a child’s spiritual development should be enriched by sharing and modeling the belief that everyone is a unique and special child of God.
